“Good Vibes for the Soul”

Tony Styxx X Jaecyn Bayne

You know him as the voice behind countless events across the city as the host of Vibe on Wednesdays (VOW), Chreece, Unplugged, Vinyl Destination DJ Battle League, Tha Block Party, Melanin in May®and of course Daptoberfest®; but this year Ronald A. Craig BKA Tony Styxx will be holding the mic in a different capacity…as an emcee.

Yes, if you’ve ever been to Midtown, seen his episode of Small Studio Session with The Graveyard Shift; or watched the intro to the Pacers above the floor of the Gainsbridge Fieldhouse, you know he has bars as a spoken wordsmith, but he also got flows. The album “Jackers” proved as much. Or maybe you copped a listen to “it’s bigger than me.”? Either way, you likely had the stink face with the head nod going.

This time he’ll be flanked by a hip hop legend in his own right. Terrell Porter (born June 28, 1982), better known as Jaecyn Bayne, is an South Carolina bred transplant emcee who’s made himself a staple fixture in the Indianapolis Hip Hop scene. He has appeared alongside the Headhunters, Snoop Dogg, Keith Murray and Canibus and in April 2012 signed a single album deal to Owl Studios/Allegro Distribution in 2011 for the release of his debut album, Audio Therapy. Recently you’ve seen him destroy microphones on stage at Chreece in the cypher at last year’s celebration of hip hop and Black culture, Tha Block Party Vol. 8.
